Account Executive

Sales

This is Green Irony's first Account Executive on the ground in San Francisco. The seat exists because the Salesforce and MuleSoft field org is there: we want you there with it, not sitting on airplanes. We’re planting our flag on the West Coast.

What you sell

Two books, one seller.

The platform book. Salesforce implementation across the clouds (Sales, Service, Experience, Revenue, Field Service, Agentforce) plus MuleSoft integration and the AI work that sits on top of it. Not a single-SKU pitch.

The AI-native book. Green Irony runs its own company on Claude and Notion. That operating model is itself an offering: AI-native consulting for mid-market companies that need help actually doing what everyone is talking about. This book is early and growing fast, and the seat grows fast with it.

The channel

MuleSoft Account Executives are the primary channel. Green Irony is a MuleSoft partner first, and MuleSoft AE co-sell is where most deal flow originates. Salesforce Account Executives (SMB/GRB) are the expansion channel, particularly for Salesforce-native and Agentforce attach. Regional Vice Presidents matter across both ecosystems.

What the job actually is

Nobody hands you a built book, but warm doors exist: Salesforce partner since 2016, MuleSoft since 2018, and we introduce you to the field AEs we already work with. From there it's yours to grow. The reps you don't know yet are the job, and the deals come from being the partner they think of first.

Your territory is the entire western half of the US. Not a slice. Everything you build in San Francisco and the entire territory stays yours.

Non-negotiables

  • 2+ years selling in the MuleSoft/Salesforce ecosystem. MuleSoft ecosystem experience strongly preferred; broader Salesforce ecosystem experience (Salesforce AE, partner-side AE) is a secondary path. Tenure is a floor, not the screen — relationships in hand and hunter evidence are the screen.
  • Bay Area Salesforce/MuleSoft field-org relationships in hand, and the instinct to build more. You know how to build relationships such that the AEs think of you first when their client needs an implementor.
  • Hunter, not lead-fed. If your first question is what pipeline we'll generate for you, this isn't your seat.
  • Conviction in AI-native delivery. Green Irony sells a compressed delivery model: weeks of traditional MuleSoft and Salesforce work shipped in days. That's our moat. You believe the model works, not because we told you, but because you already run your own workflows AI-first and you've seen what the technology does to traditional work.
  • The Tower. You're within easy reach of the Salesforce Tower and you want to be in it regularly, building relationships face to face. If being in that building several times a month sounds like a cost rather than the point, this isn't your seat.

Disqualifiers

Ask yourself these questions. If the answer to any of them is “yes”, our environment might not be right for you:

  • Do I view AI as a productivity aid, a buzzword, or a marketing wrapper rather than the competitive advantage that drives every deal conversation?
  • Do I want to inherit a pipeline?
  • Do I need a heavy management cadence? You’ll report directly to the CEO who is deep in growth mode and does not micromanage.

Compensation

A competitive base, set to your experience. On top of that, an uncapped commission plan that pays more the harder you close — rates step up once you hit quota and keep climbing the further past it you go. Hit plan and your total earnings roughly double your base. Blow past it and that multiple keeps growing.

What you get behind you

A senior US delivery team that holds a premium price and actually ships. A direct line to the CEO: no layers, no panel, same-day. A world-class sales coach, Alice Heiman, of Miller Heiman, committed to your success.

Hit the ground running

Our small team is dedicated, inspired and high-performing. We'll look to you for quick successes:

  • Tell your network. Every relationship you have becomes a lead the day you start. Turn every warm intro into three more.
  • Learn the Green Irony business fast — the platform, the delivery model, and what makes us different. Same goes for mastering the tools.

What you do in the first two weeks tells us both whether this fits.
